The Conference Building at Sky-Vue Lodge

 In 1987 the building now known as the Conference Building was begun. Originally intended to boast 11 modern motel rooms the project never saw completion and the property passed back to the estate of the Buttolphs. (Owners of the property from 1962 until 1985.) When Glenn and Janice bought the property in 1994 the first priority was to remodel and upgrade the cabins that remained. In 1999 work began on what is now known as the Conference building. In April of 2001 the first rental of the Upper Room took place. It is available to our cabins guests for use as a day room for family reunions or seminars. It is also open to the public for rent by the 1/2 day or full day. $75.00 to $125.00

The Upper Room in the conference building is an all-purpose meeting room suitable for almost any occasion imaginable.  Designed with versatility in mind, it has a coffee bar at one end complete with a warming oven, refrigerator, coffeepots, and microwave.  Opposite, there is a cozy corner with comfortable furniture and an antique upright piano for more intimate conversation. 

This main room can seat up to 80 theatre-style, or 65 at banquet tables.  We host numerous dinners, fund-raisers, carving and painting students, family reunions, quilting retreats, business conferences, wedding showers and even the occasional wedding.  The room can be rented by itself or as part of a package deal when also renting 5 or more of our accommodations.  This "Upper Room" is barrier free, wheelchair accessible, and ADA compliant. As with the rest of the buildings, there is a magnificent view out the east windows.
