Lodgerooms at Sky-Vue

Sky-Vue Lodge and Cabins      Winslow, Arkansas      Phone # 800-782-2003

Sky-Vue has been known for its cabins along US 71 since 1934. At one time the property had as many as fourteen. During the late 1950's and throughout the 1960's business slowly declined because of the advent of the Interstate Highway system and a new phenomenon called the "Motel". Holiday Inn, Motel Six, and Super 8 became known as the new places to stay. In the mid 1980's Sky-Vue reached it's low ebb with the razing of the cabin being used for a workshop. This left just seven of the fourteen cabins advertised on a 1941 postcard.

In 1987 the building now known as the Conference Building was begun. Originally intended to boast 11 modern motel rooms the project never saw completion and the property passed back to the estate of the Buttolphs. (Owners of the property from 1962 until 1985.) When Glenn and Janice bought the property in 1994 the first priority was to remodel and upgrade the cabins that remained. In 1999 work began on what is now known as the Conference building.

The Lodge Rooms at Sky-Vue are in the Conference Building. Each unit is individually decorated and adds a new and unique charm to the property.
